Myopia/Nearsightedness

An eyeball, which is too long, or a cornea with too much curvature focuses light in front of the retina. In nearsighted or myopic eyes, the person has difficulty seeing at a distance, such as driving or seeing the blackboard from the back of the room. Approximately 30 to 35% of the population is nearsighted.
