Eye Doctor Sacramento
Harissa Michael, O.D. has been a member of our Center for Sight eye care team since August 2014. Dr. Michael received her bachelor’s degree in Biology from California State University, Sacramento and her doctorate of optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry (SCCO) at Marshall B Ketchum University. While at SCCO, Dr. Michael’s clinical rotations at the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System, and University Eye Center at Los Angeles have heightened her interest in ocular disease treatment and management.
Dr. Michael enjoys working in an ocular disease-based clinical setting as each patient case poses new experiences, which is what she thrives on. Being a part of the Center for Sight team, seeing patient’s reactions pre and post-cataract and refractive surgery are very rewarding.
Dr. Michael grew up in Elk Grove, CA with her brother and parents. She is very family-oriented and visits relatives in Greece. She enjoys traveling, playing piano and tennis in her free time.
