What aspects of eye surgery do you find most rewarding?
Listening to patients relay their emotional joy after cataract and refractive surgery. When patients tell me, “The sunset colors are amazing again,” and “I have not seen this well for years,” my heart is filled with joy that I was able to improve their vision and quality of life. Patients returning 15 years after their laser vision correction and telling me it was the best thing they did for themselves fuels my drive to provide these refractive eye surgeries for future patients. Today, I can customize the latest intraocular lenses and laser treatments to match everyone’s visual goals.
What treatments are most popular right now?
Our office offers a broad suite of surgical services for patients of all ages—from the latest technological advances in cataract surgery to topography-assisted laser vision correction, allowing more freedom from contact lenses and glasses. The latest light adjustable lens (LAL) advances allow us to remove the natural lens and replace it with an LAL lens to refine the prescription after lens implantation.
